SB-0010PM Universal Front Sway Bar for Cars and Trucks using Mustang II IFS (Stock Width) mustang II ifs front sway bar front sway bar for Mustang II IFS

SB-0010 fits stock width only, SB-0020 for 2” widened crossmembers, SB-0040 for 4” widened crossmembers.

Improve the handling and cornering of your Mustang II IFS equipped street rod with the Chassis Engineering SB-0010PM sway bar kit.

Cornering can cause the wheels to drift or creep to the side, which causes poor handling and excessive wear on the tires. A Mustang II IFS will improve handling, but installing a front and/or rear sway bar will smooth out your driving experience during the more demanding situations, especially when cornering, resulting in a safer and more enjoyable ride.

The SB-0010PM measures 43 1/2 inch eye to eye and is intended for rides with a stock-width Pinto / Mustang II IFS kit installed.

If you are using non-Chassis Engineering full lower A-arms (no strut rods) with your Mustang II IFS suspension, please include part AU-0010PMA (link) with your order of your Pinto / Mustang II IFS sway bar for no additional cost. We will substitute weld-on sway bar mounting tabs in place of the regular Pinto / Mustang II IFS mount brackets.

Note: Directions below assume use of a Pinto or Mustang-based cross member. If you have something different, then make appropriate modifications if needed.

Contact us beforehand if you have questions about the safety or durability of these modifications.

1: Clamp sway bar and mounts to the frame in position shown below. Move the sway bar through its arc. Check for interference.

2: Bolt lower linkage mount to lower control arm assembly. Use original strut rod bolts. Offset in lower mount should point inward.

3: Move bar thru its arc. Check for interference again. Assemble linkage.
